Nicole Vargas first developed a passion for digital media as a student at UC San Diego more than a decade ago. Since then, she has turned that passion into a profession, expanding her online expertise to include web branding, multimedia production and social media strategies.
An award-winning journalist who spent the majority of her career at The San Diego Union-Tribune, Nicole serves as a lecturer and internship coordinator at San Diego State University. She also is active in a number of national journalism organizations, including the Association for Women in Sports Media, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the Online News Association.
